Ramadhan Kareem
Ramadhan is probably one of my favorite times of the year. Each time when this spiritual month approaches, we would prepare various things. E.g for the home, for the kitchen, for sahur and buka. Little did we know, that this sacred month comprises of so much more than just observing our hunger and thirst. It is indeed a divine month that truly tests our devotion for our Creator and our religion. Many of us turned good and switch our negativity into commendable acts and worship. I for one loved this month as it is full of mercy. It is a time where we could ask for various forgiveness and mercy and insyaallah, we will be forgiven. There are times whereby we do not even noticed our mistakes that we've made in the year or past years, well Ramadhan indeed is a month of blessing. A month full of grace and goodwill. Insyaallah. My late dad used to tell me, Ramadhan is a month of worship and forgiveness, whatever we du'a for, insyaallah, it will come true.
As we approach mid-Ramadhan and towards the last 10 days ( where one of these 10 nights is worth 1000 months of worship) , let us embrace this beautiful month by enhancing our deeds in Zakat, reciting the Al-Quran and doing the midnight Salah. My late dad also used to tell me and my sister, that when the night of lailatulqadr ( a night of 1000 months worth of worship) comes, the trees would stay still, leaves will not move and the night will be a peaceful one. Honestly, till today I have been watching trees everyday for the last 10 days of Ramadhan. But, I realized, why am I waiting for the day to come? Will I be able to perform only when it comes?
That is the reason why Allah swt never reveals an exact date. Because, he wants us to perform throughout our lives, not only during the last 10 days of this holy month, but for the rest of our living lives.
With that, I would like to wish every muslim brother and sister an easeful and steady Ramadhan ahead.
