Food intake
What I have learned in my past few weeks of my "slimming" journey is that diet is a primary factor in keeping one fit and healthy. You are literally what you eat. I began keeping track of my food intake and carefully select my menu everyday.
And of course, I could never resist my sister's asam pedas ikan pari. So instead of having with white rice, me and my sis had it with brown rice instead. Thank god I have a sibling who's health conscious.
Of course, there were times that I would relapse and have cheat meals especially when Miss P was around the corner. I am human after all and I must admit that I would not deprive myself and starve tp death even if I wanted to. My key ingredient was keeping my meals full, proportionate, wholesome and delish.
The tough gets going
The hardest part of all this is when I am on duty. It takes a whole lot, to restrain myself from having junk food and snacking on something dangerous. With my tight and busy schedule, it was pretty tough to put together just 3 meals a day. That was the most challenging part. And working in a non-fixed location makes it even tougher. It has been a good month and I am hoping to maintain this.
Cheat meals when I feel like having laksa. I opt for wholemeal noodles.
Night bites; poached eggs with avocado or wholemeal toast
Who can ever resist llao llao? I know i cant. I spruced it up with 3 fruits in between and some granola and muesli. My own version of Sanum.
One of my lunch menu at work;a wholesome BLT sandwich.
Snacking has never been boring with these guys. Pumpkin seeds, cranberries, pine nuts, almonds, cashews and raisins. Oh, and my huge a$# bottle of water.
Steamed tilapia with veg and airfried sweet potato fries
Breakfast at work calls for wholemeal toast with kaya and blueberries.
